Juice Forge Lite - Free Game Feel for Unity
A downloadable tool
Free game feel in one line of code. Juice Forge Lite is the free core of Juice Forge: screen shake, hit stop, slow motion, squash and stretch, knockback, camera kicks, zoom punches, screen flashes, particle bursts and sounds - combined into feedback stacks you trigger from code or a UnityEvent.
Juice.Play("Combat/Hit Heavy", enemy); - that is the whole setup.
What you get (free, commercial use allowed)
- 73 feedback types: Camera & Screen (15), Time (4), Transform (23), Particles & Audio (13), Flow & GameObject (18).
- Juice Player: parallel, sequential or random stacks with delay, chance, cooldown, repeats, loops, signals, intensity and distance falloff.
- 20 ready presets (combat hits, explosion, jump, land, dash, coin, gem, power-up, UI press / popup / error) and 21 sounds synthesised by our code.
- One-liners: Juice.Play, PlayAt, Impact, Shake, HitStop, SlowMotion, Flash, Text (damage numbers).
- Safety built in: global Juice slider 0-200%, per-group strength (shake, flash, motion, time, audio) and a flash limit of 3 per second.
- Built-in, URP and URP 2D with no setup; screen effects need no post-processing. Old Input Manager and Input System.
- Demo: the Juice Ladder - the same fight from no juice to full juice in 9 steps, plus 6 one-line preset buttons.
Lite and full Juice Forge
- Lite: 73 feedbacks, 20 presets, 21 sounds, Juice Player, timeline inspector, one-line API, accessibility scales.
- Full Juice Forge adds: 154 feedbacks (hit flash, dissolve, outline, 11 springs, UI and UI Toolkit juice, URP post-processing, haptics, TextMeshPro effects, lights, physics, Animator), 227 presets with a preset browser, edit-mode preview with scrubbing, the Make it Juicy wizard, an accessibility menu prefab and the Juice Profiler.
Upgrading: import the full Juice Forge over Lite - same paths and GUIDs, nothing to delete, and your Juice.Play calls get the richer presets automatically. Find it here: Juice Forge on itch.io.
Full C# source, assembly definitions, pooled objects, no dependencies, PDF guide.
